The Mid-Bay
Rotary Club
Chartered June 29, 1993 |
| |
|
| The club was
formed when eight members from the Niceville-Valparaiso Rotary club felt
there was enough interest in the area east of Rocky Bayous Bridge to form a
club. On May 11, 1993, an informal meeting was held to test the
waters. It rakes a minimum of 25 people to form a club and within two
weeks the minimum was met. On June 29, 1993, the charter for our club
was granted with 42 charter members. The membership comes from
Bluewater Bay, Niceville, Sandestin, and Freeport. The area east of
Niceville is a bedroom community, and the morning meetings makes a perfect
match for those individuals who commute. |

|
| The Mid-Bay Rotary
Club is a young dynamic club. The age of the majority of the members
is in their 40's. Our members range from one in their 70's to two in
their 60's and the remaining members fall on either side of 40 years of age. |

|
| We meet every
Wednesday morning at 7:00 a.m. in Bluewater Bay. Many of the members
come early or stay a little later for fellowship with other members.
We eat, (we have outstanding an outstanding breakfast), conduct business,
and have a half hour program. Most everyone is on their way by 8:00
a.m. or shortly thereafter. |
