| As part of Rotary
International Centennial Celebration, Mid-Bay Rotary funded and dedicated a
picnic pavilion at Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park. Attending the
dedication ceremony was Helen Lowder, representing Friends of Emerald Coast
State Park, which erected the pavilion; Ben Favre, Park Manger; Sonia Scalf,
Assistant Park Manager, Jim Miller, Mid-Bay Centennial Project Leader, Dave
Rauch, Mid-Bay President; and Ron Moore, Mid-Bay Past President. Funds were
raised for the project through Mid-Bay's Oktoberfest in September and the
annual charity golf tournament in June. At the left, Mid-Bay Rotarians and
Gannon park mangers pose under the new pavilion. At the right, Mid-Bay
Rotary members Harold Peek, Jim Miller and Lynn Atkinson enjoy the view. |
